peta-ad-billboard

10. PETA’s diet plan introduced this huge billboard ad that had the message to lose weight and go vegetarian with the insulting headline “Save the whales”. It drew a lot of attention but mostly in a negative way because it was taken down shortly after it was placed.

peta-tiger-woods-billboard

9. Another ad PETA did included the sex scandal of Tiger Woods.

8. Unhappy with the health care bill and how things were done in the White House, Ellis Miller from Texas made this Obama billboard to use his freedom of speech and show his disappointment.

prepare-dobies-billboard

7. This ad for Thomas B. funeral homes & crematory is a bit over the top, but the message is pretty clear though.

6. The Weatherproof Garment Company never asked Obama for permission to use a press photo of him wearing a weatherproof jacket on their ad, but still they placed it in Times Square.

ring-finger-billboard

5. From far away it looks like the woman from Robbins Diamonds ad is giving you the finger, but at second glance you will see that she is showing her naked ring finger with the charming slogan “She’s tired of waiting”.

charles-billboard

4. Using $250 000 for a billboard to prove a love affair is maybe a little too much, but not for YaVaughnie Wilkins who wanted everybody to know about the 8 and a half year long affair she had with Obama‘s advisor Charles Phillips.

affair billboard3. Since love affairs for married couples are common these days, why not make a dating site for it?

republican-billboard

2. This billboard was meant to help Republicans, but both the Republicans and Democrats thought that using a picture of the burning World Trade Center was inappropriate.

Number #1 made me LOL hard. It’s like the billboard wants you dead so they can profit. Seriously that is clever advertising.

Lolz. what’s up with number 1? I agree on Alex.

    #1 … “Jonasstraße 7, 12053 Berlin”

So, you worry about German billboards over there?

The one of obama is perfect.

Remember in November – vote the bums out.

It’s correct….Clinton had Bin landen in 1998. He said no…3000 then die.

#8 may be controversial in Kenya, but it isn’t controversial in America. Millions of uneducated Americans & an equal number of illegals who voted (repeatedly) for this pandering fool, feel the same way.

@JohnnyPueblo, Yes but it was a democrat -Clinton- who had a chance to take him out before 9/11 and didn’t.

#1 is a german billboard. The original version sais “Kommen Sie ruhig näher.” This is a photoshopped and translated version of it.
You can see it by the small text, it’s
    “Jonasstraße, 10581 Berlin Tiergarten”.

Peta is disgusting. They use tasteless advertising to promote their hypocritical ideas. They’re sexist and shallow. I love how people assume that becoming vegetarian makes you lose weight. Funny thing is, the heaviest people I know are vegetarians.

Number five is my fav. I loved the way it looks like she’s flipping people off but she’s really not. I like it. I kind of feel like that. My boyfriend will not propose. I am about to brake up with him. The magic is just gone. Its like we’re friends that kiss and hold hands. I don’t fell the that special something anymore. I need advice.

  23. WhoaUseBrain says

    May 9, 2011 at 6:27 am

Bin Laden didn’t do anything to us during Clinton’s era, so why get trigger happy too soon. Was he to know the future of 9/11?

  24. Mia says

    May 28, 2011 at 8:20 pm

Adriana, you want advice, here it is, starting with a question; Why do you want him to propose if you’re bored? If you’re looking for ‘special magic’ in a relationship, check out the link on Billboard #3.

However, if you ever grow up enough to realize that your ‘special something’ (aka, hormonal lust) will ALWAYS fade in any long-term relationship, and gets replaced by better things — comfort, support, friendship and familiarity — then you’ll stick it out. Real love isn’t about fireworks and magic, and there are FAR worse things than having your SO as your best friend.

Otherwise, do your boyfriend a favor and break up, so he can find someone worthwhile.

Don’t like this advice? Don’t ask for advice on funny-picture blogs.

I love # 9 — double bonus. A good message, and makes fun of a philanderer. Doesn’t get any better. 🙂

I’m an animal rights vegan and I think the PETA ad is offensive. There are fat vegetarians and even fat vegans (though the fat vegans are more difficult to find) and none of us enjoy being depicted as cauldrons of hate. From the days when people used to throw red paint on women wearing fur so the rich women would just go out and buy another fur coat, um hello, they’re rich! PETA seems to be exceptionally proficient at undermining the very cause they stand for. Though they have done a lot of good, PETA does not speak for me as a vegan. Sure, I owe my hot body to veganism but not everyone has the same genes and everyone’s journey is different. Anyone who wakes up their inner compassion and spares animals torture and death is welcome in my circle, fat or thin.
