- animals, strange news
There have been lots of riots and protests from both anarchists and workers in Athens, Greece specially the past few years. One interesting thing is that there is one dog that is spotted at these riots from 2008 till today
December 12. 2008
December 17. 2008
December 18. 2008
It is the same dog on every picture and it is funny how it takes part in riots over several years. It is not sure but it has been guessed that the owner is one of the demontrators.

May 9, 2009 is the best pic xD
That dog has accomplished a lot. I hope he knows that.
Stray dogs in Athens wear a collar. That’s how you know they’re vaccinated and all the stuff. Very nice dogs, all of them.
Hey Borz, that’s a great point, but I am pretty sure I saw a collar on this guy. Either way, totally rad.
@borz:
The dog has a collar on, so he has to belong to someone
An amazing dog, you can find dogs in many manifestations but this one likes them!
My favourite is May 9th 2009, he’s right in there with the action! Awesome dog!
It’s so cute:braveheart
it’s interesting if the dog considers the rioters to be his ‘pack’, so therefore whatever takes place he’s just running with the pack
anarcho-lassie
He’s a working class hero.
I wish my dog would stand up for what she believes in.
Photo from December 22. 2008 is amazing
I think it s the dog that s starting the whole thing.
This dog has a blue collar that indicates that he is sterilized and vaccinated by the group of volunteers that care for dogs abandoned in the city center. He is not owned and it is incredibly sad that he has lived on the streets this long without any decent human taking him home and giving him love. This isn’t about him attending protests – which I am sure he doesn’t give a f**k about – but about the losers that abandon companion animals in this country into the most traffic congested and dangerous part of the city. He is a survivor but dozens have not been so lucky in the centre, as well as all the others that are abandoned and die every day in accidents and by poisoning.
Helen, dogs a pack animals he doesn’t care at all about having a warm sofa to sleep on or dog biscuit when he rolls over. He probably has a back of dogs or a group of homeless people he considers family other wise he probably wouldn’t have made it this long. He is probably happier than most fat lazy dogs sitting on their owners bed while they are at work waiting for them to get home.
Don’t pity him he appears to be enjoying himself and looks very healthy.
Helen,
Think again. Perhaps the dog is loved by a whole community that takes care of him/her. Sometimes its not our place to capture and keep a feral dog against its will. ITS clearly being taken care of. Not emaciated, rather healthy looking. Think again.
I am with Hellen. Dogs may have been pack dogs in ancient times but then domestication came and dogs have been companion animals for 1,000′s of years. They revert to pack thinking when their humans have abandonned them. I believe her comments were not about this dog in particular but more questioning why Greeks continue to pretend that dogs are ‘wild’ and ‘pack’ animals and keep throwing them to the streets??? Does that make them feel better when they tire of their puppies or donn’t feel like making their surgerys. This is the sick part of our culture.
These are photoshopped. I don’t believe it.
I don’t think these photos are fake. Take a look at the shadows.
I think the most likely thing is that he belongs to or is being cared for by an activist; someone who is very involved with the anarchist scene in Athens.
I also go along with the pack idea. Nothing more natural than running with the members of your pack and helping protect them from the “bad guys”.
I love the fact that he is not aggressive or out of control.
The dog may be a reincarnated activist, or a designated protector/peacemaker. That’s what I like to think.
Police dog.
My dog only chews my shoes, while this fight for anarchy. I should find a better trainer.
Dear friends, i am from Athens and i knew this dog, because it was a legent. His name was Kanellos. The photos are not fake, but the date is wrong. Kanellos, passed in Julie 2008. He lived all these years in the campus univercity of athens and he rest in peace there. See the facebook group ” o skylos o kanellos”.
Excuse me for my bad english
I know this dog, and i know at least one man that takes care of him. Best dog evah !!!
I am totally with Helen. He looks like an amazing dog and I would have loved to have known him. NO dog deserves to live out their lives on the streets to deal with all the manmade dangers. Don’t get me started… Donny – I think you need to re-think your stance…
Kropotkin’s reincarnation
This dog is definitely not a stray. Way too clean and healthy.
SUPER COOL!!
That dog is totally a greek god in animal form
picture 8 and the last one are on the same time and location.
@echobubble: You are wrong, this dog is not the well known Kanellos. Yes, he did die in 2008 after being for 8 months in a “wheelchair” because he was paralyzed in his 2 back legs. It is a totally different dog. Look at his photos at his facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=23042226950#!/group.php?v=photos&gid=23042226950 or see his blog at http://kanelos.blogspot.com/ .
That dog is indeed always present right on the spot of the action, I’ve seen him many times on TV. He doesn’t seem to get scared of tear gus, explosions, petrol bombs and people screaming all over, he actually seems to enjoy himself a lot!
By the way, most of Athens’ stray dogs and cats are healthy and relatively clean, in fact many of them are quite fat as people regularly give them food. There are lots of them and they are a vivid part of the city’s life and scenery.
christina, perhaps you should rethink YOUR stance. not everyone is satisfied with the life set out for them as determined by what the masses consider the “standard” of living. i know plenty of humans, much like this dog, who choose to be wild and loose because it fits them better. perhaps your undermining this dogs intelligence…s
clear cut case of photo shop. pixels and all.
I live in Athens, in exarxeia and this dog is very famous and everybody feeds and loves this animal.BUT his name is LOUK,from Loukanikos a word that means sausage, because he used to eat sausages all the time.He lives on the street,he has no master and he, allong with 4-5 other dogs comes to every demonstration here in ahens. You will find him every day in MESOLLOGIOU street, where ALEXANDROS GRIGOROPOULOS,a 15 year old student was shot by the police.
KANELLOS was another dog that used to act the same, but he died two years ago and now he is buried by comrades inside the Polytechneio university in Athens, where the uprising against dictatorship took place,in 1973.The members of Indymedia athens, used to feed him. Also when Kanellos was caught by the dog catcher 4 years ago,a demo of 400 people took place and we released him from the dog catcher! You can find his grave inside the university.Kanello RIP!
These dogs live in Exarxeia and they don’t belong to nobody. We call them”the dogs of the movement” and there many of them, such as ROZA,DICK,RIBO,PETROS,LOUCY.Its funny but they are our comrades,we protect and feed them and they protect us as well.
Here are some videos of comrade Kanellos,a legend of Exarcheia!

Thank you, “george greece”, for explaining the culture of everything. To everybody who is going crazy about dog rights or whatever, please understand that our culture is not the same as other cultures. i am not supporting either side of the argument (“pack animals” vs “spoiled rotten”).
George has explained to us the fact that this dog, and the many like it, is loved and cherished; This is shown through the relevance of the culture. By understanding the culture, we can appreciate these pictures for what they are instead of getting in an americanized debate that doesn’t even apply to what we are seeing.
Who doesn’t love a good riot?
His name is Loukanikos but we also call him Luke
And he really enjoys living on the street. I believe he would be unhappy to be closed in a house.. It’s really ignorant to make generalizations just like that. A dog that has been raised in a house as a pet will be unhappy and most probably unable to survive if he is suddenly abandoned. But a dog that grew up on the street, and especially this one that has so many people that love him and take care of him would most probably feel unfree if someone took him home.
insouciant comes to mind
Stop argueing and talking about these photos, they are obviously fake and who gives a flying flip about some crazy dog anyway… you are all ignorant.
Riot dog likes to start riots. Riot dog ftw
Back in Oct 2009 on holidays I saw this dog across the road from parliament near Syntagma Square! He was chasing down motorcyclists & scooters and biting tyres and feet. Then I saw this series of photos today (3rd March 2010) and couldn’t believe it. Went back to my holiday photos and sure enough, same dog, same blue collar. Amazing.
-Stewart (Brisbane, Australia)
If the photos are “obviously fake”, what about the videos?
I’ve been at the same bed with this dog!!!
Loukaniko!! You are the best!
My opinion is that these are photoshopped, although by someone who is damn good at it.
To paraphrase Godard, photoshop claims about blog images is scepticism, photoshop claims about youtube uploads, scepticism 24 times a second:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz89ja4gobc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWk1-jMNR6k
What don’t you understand people? You are ignorant,LOUK is real, just look at the last two videos.Did Sky News photoshoped his videos,so that the dog appears???You must be real fools to believe such a thing!
Maybe it’s the photographer’s dog
If you’ve ever been in Detroit, you probably already know that Coney Island hot dogs are the best.
Sorry but I think this dog name is Thodoras (???????)and he lives in Exarheia. His colar gave me this information. I first met him last year during Panathinaikos fiesta of winning the european cup in basket. He’s stray and fearless and, in my opinion, very happy to be free. Whenever he feels protests, fiestas or gathering of people he’s there. I have some time to see him and I’m worried about him. If you know anything about him, please let us know. He’s beloved.
I think there are a lot of stray dogs in Greece, naturally I feel that they would gravitate towards exarchia because of the anarchist space there. Of course I really don’t know anything because I don’t live there.
Here is his monument inside the Technical University of Athens
http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v264/159/111/1114069360/n1114069360_30080966_2669.jpg
Regardless as to whether this dog is one dog, or some other dog… I think it is touching that in Greece there is an army of animals happily interacting with people. Cared for, but free to do as they please. I think it is a nice sentiment.
Where I live… we can’t even let our cats outside, nevermind walk a dog unleashed…!
Next Rage Against The Machine’s album’s cover! =D
photo #14….is it just me…but does the shadow look `shopped?
The dog is real, he is a stray -the collar and the tag show he’s vaccinated by the municipal services- and during riots or demonstrations ALWAYS takes the side of the demonstrators. He’s something of an icon in Athens and everybody loves him. He’s not the only one, though. There are other dogs too, but he is the most active and therefore the most famous. @Kostas, I Think that his father, Kanellos, has his own monument in TUA…
the dog is as smart as we humans he just does not have words to convey
I found the dog on some new riot footage! http://multimedia.pol.dk/archive/00438/Greece_Financial_Cr_438690a.jpg
Another shot of the dog:

Dog s name is Petros… He lives at syndagma, monastiraki and near areas… I meet him every time i am at the centre… He was at the front line today on the riots..
That dog is having fun…He is right in the thick of it (just hope he doesnt get injured)…Saw him again on 10′clock BBC news tonight!
Three innocnet bank staff were murdred, May they rest in peace. Very sad and unecessary!
I am is of the dog what is in the picture with has the dog of it.
Same dog.. The dog was on the news as well…

Hahahaha epic article
Wow what a smart dog
Some say the dog’s name is “Kanelos” meaning the color of cinamon. He also has a song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FTaVgqSiIk
I spotted the dog on the news coverage of the Athens riot yesterday (5 May 2010)before I read this thread.
Riot dog! May 10, 2010
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/7599/riotdog.jpg
Was watching him live.
^ Oops, that’s May 6, not May 10th
Yep, the same dog in the riot again. I hope he doesn’t get hurt.
I just saw him live on Channel 4 news. Froze screen and took some pics with my phone.
Well behaved dog. The police dogs just bite everyone, including each other and the police.
RIOTDOG FTW
We are watching him on streaming video… he’s right out there, front and center. Having a great time chasing firecrackers, apparently.
That dog is hero.
SAW HIM TODAY http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8662508.stm at like 8 seconds
Yes – he’s cool. He likes following our bicycle rides also and he barks at cars.
He’s a bit of a bully as well as he doesn’t like other dominant male dogs in his area.
It’s fairly impossible to pat him as he’s constantly hyper.
He’s under the care of the city (borough) of Athens.
He’s name is Theodore (if I remember well).
Way to cite your photos!
Rebel Dog is not Kanelos.
Kanelos left about two years ago.
here is his update of photos and videos in action
http://rebeldog.tumblr.com/
I read that his name is ‘Loukas’ and is fussed and fed by local people but is a stray…
He is a real citizen of the people and is definitley on the side of the masses and not the Police!
He doesnt know why he’s protesting, but he’s sure having fun!!..Saw him on news again this evening…,fight the cause Loukas!
Naive people, this dog is working at every riot as an undercover state security agent…
I am sure the dogs (Kanellos, Louk and the rest) are well loved and have lots of friends. I am sure they are enjoying every day of their lives, they are fed well and given lots of hugs and attention. They would probably feel restrained if made to live indoors. They would want to go out and about. They are not missing anything in their lives as they are in the streets. There is a danger though. These dogs (with some exceptions) have short life expectancy. There are lots of risks for them in the streets out there. They are street wise and smart and survive long but accidents do happen. I have a dog who I found when he was a few months old at an industrial estate in Greece. I got him home but he still could go out and come back home whenever he pleased. He was very happy. When he was 3 I had to take him to England where I live because my grandmother who used to look after him . He is 11 now and he is happy. I think he is missing his independence but he is happy to be living with me and he is very loyal. He is smarter than English dogs because he is street wise. My point is that I don’t think that he would have survived to the age he is now if he continued his life in the streets. He has some basic road sense which helped him survive but accidents do happen and some people are evil and poison street dogs. Anyway, there are lots of options and each situation is different, but it is something to think about. Dogs can live at homes and be smart and lively but they need lots of your time, lots of walks and activities to stimulate them. They keep you fit and psychologically well balanced. Lots of positive things about living with a dog.
We need dogs like this in the UK-so much to protest about and no one does a thing. I’m coming to Greece-woof!
His name is Theodoros, he’s a stray dog living in Syntagma square and when he’s not participating in riots he’s chasing cars (he really hates white ones…). He is very friendly (unless you ‘re a law enforcer I suppose…)
That’s not a dog.
That’s an intelligent being observing humanity in action.

Photoshop fail
Who’s to say someone isn’t taking care of this dog? Maybe he was a stray, got the vaccinations and the free collar, someone eventually picked him up and just kept the collar on him?
the anarchist dog must be arrested along with the other criminals.
I hope he takes care of himself. It looks pretty “ruff” out there.
Clearly the dog is the ringleader.
There used to be a stray named Scaby 20 years ago, hanging around Exarchia Square, the meeting place for most of the demonstrations in the 80′s and 90′s, that without exception would march with the demonstrators and actually walk 20-30 meters ahead of them, as if leading them, all the way to the destination. I can’t remember the breed, but he sure had the same colors. It seems he raised his progeny well.
I actually know this dog. He is the the laziest stray dog I’ve ever seen.
He only gets excited when there is a big fuss.
Unfortunately, he did get some paint on him at one time: http://www.flickr.com/photos/telemax/3100526862/in …
He has also starred in a bbc video: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7789215.stm
In Greece, there are many dogs that run around the street. People leave out food and water on their doorsteps at night for them to consume. The dogs are very friendly to people and please don’t presume to make judgments when you have no clue about the culture.
Just saw him on CNN’s coverage of the riot about 10 minutes ago.
The riot-dog rocks. What do they feed it?
I went to college with that dog, he’s always been crazy like that.
Hope he stays safe.
That dog is a true hero!
you’d think they’d try and fix all the rioting going on all the time.
No-one seems to notice that really.
Photoshop is a marvelous tool, ain’t it?
In Puerto Rico he would be called “Coquito the dog”. Any puertorican can explain why.
You can always see him in front of riot. Most likely he is an agent provocateur.
Rouf rouf rouf, love you love you love you, we need more like you so they can see what peace really means.
He definitely seems to enjoy himself. I so wish the US would have programs that vaccinated and spay/neuter the strays, and let them live their lives if people are feeding them. Instead we put millions to sleep every year after caging them in small spaces. May Luke/Theodore/whatever live a long life of freedom and health.
Tribute to the little dog. From the Yangtze River to the Aegean Sea.
Atleast he or she’s got an own opinion !
The “DAWG”
Great going doggy stick in there you da “DAWG”
Maybe it’s the photographers dog
)
I love his really curious, but “totally into it” face at March 4! :3
I start thinking, that this dog may be…an Angel sent from God…I know that most of the people will think this is ridiculous, but if you ever hear story of st.Dominick, you will know why I’m thinking that.
very good.revolotionary dog.we should learn of it.
The dog probably belongs to the photographer
Hmm I can’t help but notice that nobody is looking at this dog in any of the pictures. Yes I realize that there are riots going on, but not even in the picture with them posing is anyone looking at it. Also in the picture where they are being sprayed by the hose the dog is just trotting by nonchalantly.
On the other hand if it is fake the shadow he casts in every picture is flawless. And he matches the rest of all of the images perfectly. Is there a graphic design major in the house?
-Rich
I want him/her!
You people can’t be serious. “I knew this dog in Greece” and whatnot. These pictures are obviously the work of a very talented photoshop artist and nothing more.
What’s one more dog between all those left wing dogs
genius level psyop. The dog makes the stormtroopers think twice about dehumanizing the protesters and just totally decimating them, They’re forced to remember that these people are not enemies of the state, they’re families of men and women, pet owners, dog lovers. Very subtle but effective cue. Some humans can see other human lives as less than nothing, but can’t stand the idea of a dog suffering pain. I bet the owner’s a smart person and brings his little trooper to every demonstration.
LOOKS LIKE A SHELBY
I like how in the December 18th picture, one of the police officers is holding his shield upside down.
That dog deserves a steak dinner!
Amazing that he sides loyally with the protesters!
No, he doesn’t belong to anybody; he is a stray dog and the blue collar he wears is a sign that he has been vaccinated by the Humane Society in Athens.
The notion that this animal should behave “more” like a pet is naïve at best. The dog functions like any other policedog or companion in the line of fire. It sure as hell has instincts to protect the pack and whomever it considers as friends. That is nothing that human breeding can ever take away. Lots of criminals have dogs for protection as does the law enforcement. The aggression is right up it´s ally, it´s was dogs do, protect the pack and adheres to the hierarchy of the pack. Quit being so sentimental. Of course there is always time for some belly scratching. But remember the world was harsh long before humans came down on it.
That dog is an inspiration to animal kind across the globe…
Rise up !!!
This dog has 2 FB pages—”RIOT DOG” and “Kenellos” which tell his story. I just feel bad for him b/c it’s not safe and eventually if not already some thing could happen to him. He deserves to live a stress free, relaxing, loving, comfortable safe life!
I am amazed at this dog!
Wile
Anyone who thinks this stupid shit isn’t photoshopped is just a big a failure as these pictures.
Devil’s dog.. look at his expression in every picture. It say’s:”Yes.. yes.. dance my marionette people.. fight.. kill each-other aha ha ha”
The owner of the dog is the dude with the gasmask. He is also on many pictures.
BEST picture – May 9, 2009
GO VEGAN on the wall behind
YES!!
woof
The dog is a STRAY and his name is Theodor, though known better as Akis…… He is about 4 years old, has been neutered (good!, but for some reason he ‘likes’ riots. A Greek friend who feeds some strays in Athens centre is worried that he may get badly injured one day, perhaps not purposely, but just by being in a wrong place at a wrong time.
P.S. In reply to ‘blahblah’…. no photoshop trickery here. I live in the UK and saw on BBC news report, LIVE from Athens…. and the dog (Akis) was there, walking up & down in a gap between the police and the protesters.
He knows someones gonna drop their lunch.
My first message didn’t appear, so I’m saying it again: Could somebody in Athens, please, offer that dog a steak dinner? He deserves it!
He is the most lovable stray/hobo in real life.
His name is Look and his blue collar shows that he has been vaccinated by the Humane Society of Athens. The most interesting thing is that he always sides with the protesters against the Police, what a smart dog this is!
I hope the people come together, I hear some of the people their talking about the people need to take the pay cuts.
How is a person suppose to live. If people take pay cuts then lower the prices of food and living.
Rise up people or just be American and dumb yourselves down.
What an a-hole owner to bring his dog to such a dangerous place
I know this “dog”, he is called Teddy Salad!
it is so simple, any animal can be alone on the treets, juts looking mercies from someone, he has to be wiht an owner as it is usual, so this situation shows me very well woch is the greece way to take care of animals
it looks funny but it is horrible, missing culture
Yo Dawg! I think y’ll get the meme wrong! It not at dawg, it’s Xzibit on all picZ looking like a dawg!
I have been reading quite a few articles on this dog; apparently stray dogs of the male gender are given blue collars if they have been vaccinated and neutered; mystery solved. Many of the pictures look like the same dog but a few look different, if you look really close.
My guess as to why they usually side with the protestors is that they are more familiar to the animals.
Dont you see? He is the master mind behind the riots! He stribes for world domination! Fear him he will be your leader!!!
Finally!!
The ideal companion for “Islamic Rage Boy”!!
Just like Timmy and Lassie!
Here is another great picture of this dog-fighter!

Lukanicos es lo más! Viva el levantamiento de la clase obrera y el pueblo griegos! Viva Lukanicos! Te amamos! We love you!
Chinese people support you, the people of Athens, good job!
It is a symbol of your nation. If you successfully overthrow the tyranny of capitalism, it is recommended to use only the hero of a dog as your emblem!
AURRERA TXAKURRA !!!! GORA BAKUNIN !!!!
He should be appointed to EU commission instead of Barroso.
this dog is cool XD viva Lukánikos!!! the new che guevara
I doubt it that any of you (who think this is cool) has ever been near a riot. Flares, broken glass, CS Gas etc…is not a good environment for a dog. It saddens me that the antifa of Athens are willing to use this dog as a martyr, because thats whats going to happen. Unless they bring him to a safe place…away from the chaos he will be burnt, poisoned by old bill.
I say bring the riot dog to a safe place where he can eat, drink water and rest for a while.
Clearly photoshopped
Please come to iran Lovely dog !
Having marched numerous times, with the ‘late’ Kanellos and now, with Luke (which is the one that appears on the pics), I have just a simple thought to add to all.
These dogs have more spirit, heart and soul, then many of us, people sitting on our relaxing sofa, giving no sh*t about our rights.
The dogs are becoming humans, and us humans are becoming dogs.
What an irony from nature?
Love Kanellos!
from Kuura and Karpalo
I love Rebel Dog…gonna get him tattoed on me for what he stands for…defiance against a corrupt authority!!!
Even the dogs have instict…
please don’t show the faces of the people…
I’m getting really sick and tired of everyone assuming that just because something can be Photoshopped it IS Photoshopped. Get a clue, people, there’s video of this dog in action! I can just hear the “photoshop fail” people out there moaning about conspiracy theories.
hahaha, very interesting, I want a dog too.
I had never thought that the legend “observer” in “Fringe” would be a dog in real life.
good dog,i like it
The “Observer” dog from “Fringe”?
Labrador riotriever
Hello,

http://www.stern.de/panorama/treuer-demo-begleiter-ein-athener-hund-macht-karriere-1565626.html
Yesterday(20100513) I even saw the dog on TV?At same time, there is another black dog.
this dog is working at every riot as an undercover state security agent…
this dog might have its body painted with slogans such as “Put me on TV”…..then it will be a definitely superstar.
twitter???
Don’t you just love the pic on May 9 2009, where he looks around the bin at the riot police like a demonstrator himself.
The dog has a better attendance record than most politicians. To solve Greece’s problems, elect the dog.
This ain’t and will never happen in CHN.
What a “harmonious” society!! XD
They call me Superdog.

That dog is special.Supper Dog!!!
That dog is special.Supper Dog!!His owner if he has 1 better take care of himm!!!Hes quite special.
Stay in good hands doog…
Probably worth noting that the same stray dog can have more than one name, different groups of people will each give it a different name.
Atta boy Theodorus – serious respect for your actions. I will feature you in my blog as you are fearless and committed. This makes me proud to be a dog Mac
This dog is called Ahmet. It belongs to me.We always land at places where there are riots to record the activities. Our next trip will be to Xorxiengins constellation belt.See ya.
gonna have to hunt out the photo now but I’m pretty sure I saw this dog during the Athens riots in March 2008. Someone had constructed a sort of dog bone with a placard either side which he was carrying around. When my girlfriend and I passed him he’d run up to some press photographers who were getting a bunch of shots of him – and we got one too – so there’s probably that around somewhere.
what a dog
Funny how the dog seems to be IN THE MIDDLE – BETWEEN the rioters and the officials…. What does s/he know that the others do not… I wonder if the dog started something that s/he could not finish alone?! And finally.. D O G … G O D ….
Ironically the most ignorant comments on here are the ones calling the pictures photoshopped and insulting people who don’t believe that. Take a look at the live footage on YouTube for yourself.
I suppose the BBC “shopped” Louk in there before they went to air as well.
This is a great action clip:

God bless you Riot Dog. You are an example to us all.
Kudos to that city´s residents. They know how to treat an animal, and this example is what many of us, human beings, need.
It’s just a lonely stray dog that loves a good scrap.
i like the invisible dog fence add in the middle of the page.
Thanks so much for sharing all these thoughtful photos. I love dogs, and I love the world to be peaceful too.
I live in Athens Greece and got to see him recently! He is taken care of by the people around him and the city itself. He was taking a nice snooze in the heart of downtown Athens where he usually is!
I love this dog and he is so sweet. I see him in downtown Athens often.

A fucking dog(god) whatever you want to call it is a hero, your deluded.
This dog is real, such a hero, i want to own this dog, it should teach my dogs how to stand up for what they believe in. I love you dog.
This is a Fake! I am totally against Liam McQuire’s message, the dog cant stand up for what it believes in! see if ever meet you Liam!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lkCKaDmjig Check this at 37 seconds in. He’s still out there. F*ckin’ brilliant. GO ON RIOT DOG !!!!
This dog looks healthy and brave. I’m impressed by the Greece people of taking so much care of the stray dogs. Salute to them all! In my city, many ppl don’t care about animals – even the pets at home are complained by neighbours!
Wonderful beat ! I would like to apprentice while you amend your web site, how could i subscribe for a weblog web site? The account aided me a acceptable deal. I were tiny bit acquainted of this your broadcast provided brilliant clear concept
The dog is probably Zeus in disguise.
I kind of feel bad for the dog(s): just doing what a good dog does, being loyal to its owner. Then again, in all of the photos the dog seems to be enjoying itself, so who am I to judge? Just don’t get teargassed, poochie.
