I’m sure most of you have been regularly exposed to images of dogs hilariously riding skateboards: they frequently do the rounds. As a result of this internet-fueled overexposure, the visual gag of skateboard-commuting canines has inevitably run dry, the once-comical sight now more boring than it is rib-tickling.
The idea of vampires battling it out with werewolves seems an awesome one; they’re both terrifying, albeit fictional, creatures of the night, and I’m sure the brawl would be a viciously entertaining one. However, the idea also brings to mind the “Twilight” saga, a teenage-targeted fantasy film series in which glittering vamps and oversized Chihuahuas regularly rip off their tops, speedily gallop towards one another and furiously prepare to get their bitch-slapping on — that is, when they’re not moaning about the complicated love triangles they frequently stumble into accidentally on purpose. As such, the idea of vampires battling werewolves becomes significantly less awesome and more, well, homoerotic.

The Science Fiction Classic Show Doctor Who confuses me like no other TV show I have ever seen. An alien (that looks suspiciously like a series of British persons) flies around time and space in a phone booth, fighting far more horrifying aliens with nothing but his wits and the mystical power of funny hats.
Oh, and bowties.
But amidst the time travel and questionable fashion choices, there is apparently a pretty decent show to watch in there.
