Teddy bears, pillows and furniture made out of money

This “coin furniture” may be fun to have in your apartment, but if you are seeking comfort, you should definitely pick another one because these are just for decoration purposes.

49-year old artist Johnny Swing is the man behind these creations. He uses coins and nickels like quarters to make unique chairs and couches. Other pieces of his furniture project are pillows, piggys and teddy bears that are made out of dollar printed fabrics.

Every object is for sale at Vivre. A similar thing has been done by another artist who has created torsos out of coins and other unusual materials. And others have enjoyed using dollars to create money origami.

Female torsos made out of unusual materials

Torsos have always been very popular and common in the world of sculpturing, but you have probably never seen them as unusual as this. The artist, Federico Uribe, has created these female toros using different materials like coins, bullets, safety pins, color pencils, locks, clothes pins, pencil erasers and others.

These simple materials give the torsos an unique and somewhat interesting look because of the different patterns. There are plenty of objects to choose from when making sculptures. These artists used polystyrene to make sculptures that look like “Transformers”.

Defaced presidents – Making one dollar bills more interesting

In one of our previous articles you can see strange but funny one dollar bills with popular faces painted instead of president George Washington’s face. Now a new unknown artist called ranafrg4224 from flickr is also painting on one dollar bills, but now the whole bill is painted like illustrations representing different settings with the president’s face.On one of the bills he is a cook, on the other one he is a part of Alice in Wonderland, and on a third he is Pharaoh, and the list of creative illustrations, settings and faces just goes on.

These 1 dollar bills are a bit different than the ones most people are used to. It is artist atypyk that takes the iconic face of America’s first president George Washington and turns it into something funny like a clown’s face, Hannibal’s face and even Elvis’ face. This project reminds a bit about these album covers that turned into famous comic hero characters.
