
Can’t afford one of those fancy, expensive SLR cameras? Then why not make one out of cardboard? American artist Kiel Johnson did just that, and his final creations look amazing. Johnson used his background as a painter and sculptor to take simple cardboard pieces and turn them into something extraordinary.

These 8-bit illustrations are made by artist and designer Jude Buffum from Philadelphia. He gets his inspiration from various old school movies, video games, toys and politics.

The creative Italian artist Franco Brambilla has come up with the idea to use old vintage postcards and add images of alien invasions to them. The postcards are mostly from Switzerland, Milan and Santa Barbara, only now they have flying saucers, robots and aliens added.
Several photographers from flickr group have gotten together and made this interesting art piece. It is basically old photos superimposed on present day scenes. It is really suggestive and fun to see how it was way back then, and how it is today, specially when you see the Dubai transformation.
Illustrator Cliff Chiang has taken several classic album covers and turned them into famous comic hero characters. Jennifer Beals from Flashdancing as Electra, Duran Duran as Vampirella, The Breakfast Club as The Teen Titans, and Prince as Batgirl. These 12 inch cover remix are for sale for $20 each. Cliff Chiang’s artwork has been hailed for its “fluid and confident storytelling” and “sweeping linework and nuanced style.”
