10. Blockbuster RockFest 1997 [385,000] was a music event that celebrated capital punishment. It was held on Texas Motor Speedway with hot artists like No Doubt, Counting Crows and Matchbox Twenty.


9. Woodstock 1969 [400,000] was the pop culture event of that decade that had a big influence on both American music and culture. Legendary artists like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Santana and the Who was only a few of many others that performed. The audience, that were mostly hippies, sent a message to the world that everyone could gather together to enjoy music and celebrate peace.

  6. What about ,,the peter paul & mary concert,????,it was i recall held out at lake bonneville utah,in 1965,the audience was numbered at almost 9.5 million,people,,,,nothing anyone can come up with compares to this.

    brazil and argentina had manys national musicians who moved more than 1 million people in concerts …this list sucks

He’s such a multi grained talented guy! See kiddies it pays to eat healthy. Healthy food= healthy Minds, bodies and ideas. Lol did Subway sponsor that concert? Rumors have it Jarred went on a wild rampage in Moscow and threw lettuce at the audience because they couldnt understand his mumbled broken Canadian french!   12. Wait, where the hell is Rockfest ’91 at Tushino Airfield? There was well more than 700,000 people at that concert with Pantera and Metallica.

  13. Genesis played to 500,000 people in 2007 in Rome at the Circus Maximus. I was there, insane to see that many people in one place- even crazier was that they went to see Genesis…. This list sucks…

  14. The photo you have for the Isle of Wight festival is of the current one at Seaclose in Newport, not the 1970 event in the countryside of the Island (locality:Afton).
